Supporting Neurodiversity at work

A deeper understanding of neurodiversity

Supporting you – whether you have a diagnosis or not…

Whether you have a diagnosis, or have always suspected that you or a loved one might be neurodivergent, I can equip you with the tools to address your challenges and make the most of your strengths.

Blending knowledge with tools and strategies

I will help you to understand what ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia means to you, so that we are clear on your strengths and can identify tools to overcome any challenges.

Using executive functioning as a framework, common areas I support clients with are:

  • Emotional Regulation
  • Flexible Thinking
  • Managing Social Interactions
  • Burnout
  • Organisation
  • Time Management
  • Planning and Prioritisation
  • Getting Started
  • Task Completion

Parenting Neurodivergent Children

If your child either has, or you suspect they have, ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia, I can give you the tools to support them to realise their potential.

This might include:

  • Strategies for dealing with meltdowns
  • How to learn from their experiences
  • Effective communication
  • Managing studies and homework
  • Supporting their growing independence
  • Advocating for their needs at school and beyond

Considering an assessment

Having yourself, or your child assessed for ADHD, Autism or Dyslexia can feel like a big step so I can support you in deciding whether that is right for you.

Often parents feel very conflicted about whether a diagnosis is helpful or not and so I provide a safe space for couples, parents and caregivers to discuss that decision together in a supportive and guided process.

How do I know if Coaching is right for me?

I have a diagnosis but want more strategies

I will help you answer the “what next?” after diagnosis.  Whether that be identifying your strengths, or giving you tools to feel more confident in yourself, your relationships and your work.

I don't know whether to get a diagnosis

I can help you to decide if seeking an assessment is the right thing – for you or your child.

If there are different opinions within your family, I can also guide parents or caregivers through the discussion within a safe space.

My child is neurodivergent and I need some more tools

I will help you evolve your parenting to suit your child at every stage of their development.  This means that the tools you use to support them remain relevant as they grow and become more independent.

I think a work colleague may be neurodivergent

I will give you support and guidance in knowing how to talk about neurodiversity so that all team members feel supported and you feel more confident and equipped as a leader or co-worker.

My grandchild is neurodivergent

I will help you to understand more about what ADHD, Autism and Dyslexia is, as well as some common strengths and challenges.  I can also give you the tools to help support your family whether that be in emotional regulation or practical tasks and organisation.

My Approach

As a Coaching Psychologist, I am passionate about giving people the tools to feel more confident and assured – at home, in their sport, or at work.

I do this by being curious.  I ask questions, I listen fully, and I help you make sense of your thoughts.  Some sessions are practical and solution-focused, helping you to define specific steps to move you towards your goals.  Other sessions are deeper and more reflective where, unlike other coaches, I draw on my Psychology training to help you reach a higher degree of self-awareness.

Most importantly, I strike a balance between challenge and support, focus and good humour so that working together is not only thought-provoking and productive, but also enjoyable and enlightening.

How It Works

Schedule a Free 1:1

This is a relaxed and easy going initial chat.

It’s a chance for you to tell me where you’re at and what you want to change, and for me to give you a feel for how I might help and to answer any questions that you might have.

See how you feel

We can start with one session and see what you think.

If you enjoy it, then you can either schedule regular sessions, or else book appointments as and when you need them. Each session is an hour, and I work face to face, by phone or by zoom.

Start seeing the changes

As a result of working together, you will notice your thoughts and feelings start to shift – both during the sessions as well as in the days after.

Whether this is a “lightbulb moment” where things suddenly make sense, or a more gradual process, you will begin to feel clearer, focused and more settled in yourself.
